Respiratory Therapist (New Grads Welcome)

Overview Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Relocation assistance available for candidates relocating from outside Illinois. Salary range: $1,332 – $1,792.80 per week (base gross), based on a 36-hour (3x12-hour) schedule, equivalent to $37.00 – $49.80 per hour. Bonus available: $15,000.00 Sign‑on bonus for qualified candidates (eligibility and payout terms apply). Department: Cardiopulmonary / Respiratory Therapy. Job type: Full‑time, non‑exempt. Location: Chicago Metro Area, Illinois. Fast offer process: interview within 24‑48 hours. Responsibilities Administer respiratory therapy treatments (oxygen, aerosol, airway management) Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and high‑flow oxygen systems Perform pulmonary diagnostics (ABGs, PFTs) Implement patient‑specific respiratory care plans Document care in the EMR Respond to code blue and rapid response events Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes Serve as Lead RCP during assigned shifts (may be required) Qualifications State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the NBRC required. 2 years experience as an RCP preferred. ACLS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current. NRP certificate preferred. PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current. Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
