Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in a fast-paced outpatient surgery center. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes during all phases of care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Circulate and assist during a variety of surgical procedures across multiple service lines.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
• Document all patient care activities accurately in paper or electronic systems.
• Floats to different surgery centers within the Denver area as needed to support staffing.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with a minimum of 1-year recent acute care OR experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Demonstrated ability to circulate for diverse surgical procedures, including ortho, ENT, pediatrics, GYN, plastic, urology, and podiatry.
• Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and maintain a positive attitude.
• Experience working in a busy outpatient surgery environment preferred.
