Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Department (L&D) registered nurse position available in ISSAQUAH, Washington. This role involves providing specialized obstetrical care in a high-volume, teaching hospital setting. The position requires managing a variety of labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care responsibilities, ensuring safety and quality for high-risk and low-risk patients.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Two years of experience in Labor and Delivery, active certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate. Epic experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required for Post-Partum and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) based on skill set
• Additional Information: The role involves attending all deliveries and high-risk deliveries, managing OB-GYN, postpartum, and nursery care. Responsibilities include administration of blood products, cardioversion, epidural and PCA pumps, wound care, and high-risk obstetrical procedures. Experience with patient charting using Epic is necessary. The unit handles 200-300 births per month with a staffing ratio of 1:1-3.
• Certification & Skills: Must be certified in blood and blood products administration, anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, high-risk delivery assistance, sterile vaginal exams, and use of intrauterine pressure catheters and IV pumps. Capable of managing labor, postpartum, and neonatal care in a teaching hospital environment.
