Manufacturing Supervisor - CNC Machining - Second Shift

Shift: 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor – CNC Machining
Industry: Precision Machining - Aerospace and Defense

One of our primary clients is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor to lead second-shift machining operations in a union manufacturing environment. This position requires strong CNC machining knowledge and the ability to drive safety, quality, productivity and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

Supervise union CNC machinists, operators and production personnel
Coordinate daily staffing, job priorities and machine schedules
Support CNC setups, tooling, offsets and machining-process troubleshooting
Monitor production output, scrap, quality and schedule attainment
Ensure compliance with blueprints, work instructions and quality requirements
Partner with engineering, quality and maintenance to resolve production issues
Enforce safety procedures and the collective bargaining agreement
Coach employees, document performance issues and support corrective actions
Lead shift meetings and provide accurate production handoffs

Qualifications

5+ years of CNC machining or precision-manufacturing experience
Previous supervisory, lead or production-management experience
Strong knowledge of CNC turning and/or milling operations
Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances, GD&T and inspection requirements
Experience supervising employees in a union environment strongly preferred
Familiarity with gear manufacturing is a plus
Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working full-time on second shift
