Paid Advertising and Retail Media Specialist

Blues Hog is a fast-growing premium BBQ brand headquartered in Washington, Missouri. We are seeking a Paid Advertising and Retail Media Specialist to manage and optimize paid advertising campaigns across DTC, marketplace, and retail media platforms. This role will oversee campaigns across platforms such as Meta, Google, Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Instacart Ads, Home Depot Ads, and other retail media channels as needed. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and performance-driven, with experience using paid media to support ecommerce growth, retail sales, product launches, and brand awareness. This position will work closely with the Marketing Director and marketing team to ensure campaigns are strategically aligned, well-executed, and continuously improved. Responsibilities Plan, launch, manage, and optimize paid advertising campaigns across Meta, Google, Amazon, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Instacart, Home Depot, and other platforms as needed. Manage campaign setup, targeting, budgets, bidding, placements, creative rotation, keyword strategy, product targeting, and optimization. Support DTC sales, marketplace sales, retail velocity, product launches, retailer promotions, seasonal campaigns, digital coupons, and shopper marketing programs. Monitor performance across campaigns, platforms, products, audiences, keywords, and creative assets. Recommend adjustments to budgets, audiences, keywords, creative, products, offers, and campaign structure based on performance data. Own the paid media creative testing process, including testing hooks, claims, audiences, formats, products, and offers. Partner with social, ecommerce, brand, design, photo/video, and content teams to request and test creative assets. Ensure campaigns are properly tracked through platform pixels, UTMs, Google Analytics, Shopify, retailer dashboards, and other reporting tools as applicable. QA campaigns before launch, including links, products, landing pages, creative, copy, targeting, budgets, dates, and tracking. Provide weekly paid media reporting with clear insights, performance trends, budget pacing, key learnings, and recommended next steps. Build monthly and quarterly recaps summarizing what worked, what did not, and what should be optimized moving forward. Stay informed on platform updates, retail media opportunities, competitor activity, and ecommerce advertising best practices. Qualifications Proven experience managing paid advertising campaigns across Meta, Google, and Amazon. Experience with retail media platforms such as Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Instacart Ads, Home Depot Ads, Kroger Precision Marketing, or similar platforms preferred. Strong understanding of ecommerce, marketplace advertising, retail media, digital customer acquisition, and campaign optimization. Ability to analyze campaign data and turn results into clear, actionable recommendations. Experience managing budgets and reporting on ROAS, CPA, CPC, CTR, conversion rate, TACoS, NTB, and other relevant platform metrics. Familiarity with Shopify, Amazon Seller Central or Vendor Central, GA4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and retail media dashboards. Strong attention to detail and ability to QA campaigns before launch. Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, ecommerce, creative, social, sales, and brand teams. Preferred Experience Experience in CPG, food, beverage, grocery, retail, or consumer products. Experience using paid media to support retail sales, product launches, seasonal campaigns, and shopper marketing programs. Experience working with creative teams to develop and test paid ad assets. Understanding of PDP optimization, retailer.com content, product listings, and digital shelf performance.
