Bookkeeping Clerk

The Bookkeeping Clerk performs a variety of administrative and clerical support tasks including answering the phone, scheduling appointments and communicating with customers and employees. This role includes weekly payroll, accounts receivable, billing and customer service. Responsibilities Payroll: Processes weekly payroll including working with managers and employees for accuracy, reviews reports and submits payroll to the provider. Accounts Receivable: Creates invoices, matches receipts and data for accuracy; partners with bookkeeper to ensure data is accurate and submitted. Logs incoming payments and maintains records of customers who have paid and/or have an outstanding balance. Proactively sends reminders for upcoming payments and conducts collection calls when needed. Customer Service: Answers the phone in a professional manner and schedules appointments by utilizing the scheduling systems, ensures all customer jobs are billed correctly, and maintains and updates customer database. Performs other administrative and clerical support tasks as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent At least 3 years of experience working in an office setting At least 1-2 years of experience in payroll, accounts receivable or a financial role 3-5 years of related experience preferred Bilingual in Spanish is a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and financial acumen Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software Ability to work independently and with other members of the team Applicants for this position must be able to pass a background check and produce a negative drug test.
