Summary of Position Functions: Organize and supervise on- and off-center student recreation activities. Our students have already enjoyed events such as: Goat Yoga Paintball Arts and Crafts Weight and Cardio Workouts Gaming Hiking Basketball Table Tennis Women's Self-Defense Classes and focused workout sessions Freestyle Rap Groups and Poetry Sessions and more We are looking for someone enthusiastic and driven towards providing new, fresh, stimulating, exciting ideas for Recreational Activities, Sporting and Educational Events, Health and Wellness initiatives, etc., in addition to those listed above. #1 Tuesday 12:00 pm-9:00 pm, Wednesday 10:00 am-7:00 pm, Thursday 12:00 pm- 9:00 pm, Friday 3:00 pm- 12:00 am, Saturday 10:00 am- 7:00 pm (Sunday, Monday Off) #2 Sunday 12:00 pm-9:00 pm, Monday 12:00 pm-9:00 pm, Tuesday 12:00 pm- 9:00 pm, Wednesday 12:00 pm- 9:00 pm, Saturday 12:00 pm- 9:00 pm (Thursday, Friday Off) #3 Tuesday 12:00 pm-9:00 pm, Wednesday 12:00 pm-9:00 pm, Thursday 12:00 pm- 9:00 pm, Friday 12:00 pm- 9:00 pm, Saturday 3:00 pm- 12:00 am (Sunday, Monday Off) Major Duties and Responsibilities: Organize and supervise off-center and on-center recreation activities for students Provide new, fresh, stimulating, exciting ideas for Recreational Activities, Sporting and Educational Events, Health and Wellness initiatives, etc. Guide students to make informed lifestyle choices concerning fitness, nutrition, and healthy lifestyles Prepare schedules and calendars for all recreational activities Coordinate student field trips Maintain recreation facilities, equipment, and materials to center standards Track and record program attendance Order and maintain recreational equipment, supplies, and materials Provide transportation of students to and from center-sponsored events Recognize and reinforce students' positive behavior Skills and Competencies: Proven ability to plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate recreation programs Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Knowledge of operational practices and principles of recreation programs Proficient in rules and regulations of common sports and games Knowledge of fitness, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle practices Proficient in the use of common computer software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Educational Requirements/Experiences: High School Diploma, or G.E.D., and 1-year experience working with youth. Compensation is based on experience, as well as licensing and certification. Must possess a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record. Water Safety Certification is preferred. Have or acquire Water Safety Certification. Must possess or obtain a CDL Class B Driver's License with passenger endorsement within three months of hire; training is provided.
