Deputy Task Lead

Role Description

GDIT has an opportunity for a dynamic and talented candidate to join our team supporting the Administrative Office of the US Courts (AOUSC) Case Management Systems Office (CMSO) in its modernization effort for one of its mission-critical applications.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Task Lead/PM responsible for:

• Providing project management of the tasks under this effort and managing contractor personnel on three (3) different teams.
• Implementing Agile project management methodologies and practices to support the delivery of all tasks included in the SOW.
• Incorporating Scrum industry best practices framework into the Agile project management practices.
• Providing bi-weekly Agile reports (sprint reports, backlog reporting, sprint burndown charts, sprint retrospective reports).
• Providing a Monthly Status Report (MSR).
• Working with Government Contracting Officer (CO), the contract-level Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), and/or Government management personnel.
• Effectively managing personnel while being accountable for the quality and timely delivery of all contractual items.
• Serving as focal point of contact with client regarding program activities.
• Managing a program consisting of multiple projects including project identification, design, development, and delivery.
• Conferring with team to provide technical advice and assist with problem resolution.
• Crafting and enforcing quality control programs.
• Leading projects that involve the successful management of multi-functional teams.
• Organizing, directing, and coordinating the planning and production of all contract support activities.
• Formulating and enforcing work standards, assigning contractor schedules, and supervising contractor personnel.
• Working collaboratively with both the Government Leads and support staff.
• Providing analysis research support to government leads.
• Monitoring and reporting on agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborating with other teams to provide accurate requirements into the MVP product backlog.
• Creating presentations, announcements, and articles related to the modernization effort.
• Developing fact sheets describing specific topic areas related to the new digital case management product.
• Facilitating and participating in meetings, documenting meeting summaries, and identifying potential topics for future product write-ups.
• Providing completion status and in-progress updates on all technical writing requirements.
• Collaborating with the Release Train Engineer (RTE) to document dependencies between backlog items.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10+ years’ experience in IT Management including technology solutions delivery and software development lifecycles (SDLC).
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
