Family Medicine Physician - Active-Duty Medical Corps Officer
Position Type: Full-Time In-Person | Nationwide | No Remote or Telemedicine Options
Starting Annual Salary: Ranges from $239,883 to $291,461
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Family Medicine Physician in the Navy, you will provide comprehensive primary care to military personnel and their families. Your duties will encompass:
- Conducting preventive health screenings
- Managing chronic health conditions
- Ensuring the overall health and readiness of service members both domestically and internationally
- Accession Bonus: $400,000
- Annual Specialty Incentive Pay: $43,000
- Board Certification Pay: $8,000
- Continuing Medical Education (CME) Allowance
- Outstanding Benefits: 30 days of Paid Time Off (PTO), retirement plans, and more
- Maternity Leave: 12 weeks of paid leave, with additional convalescent leave as necessary
- No Production Requirements: Focus on practicing medicine ethically
- Housing Options: Free or subsidized housing on-base or a housing allowance
- Forever GI Bill: Covers 36 months of full tuition, housing, and $1,000 for books for you or your dependents

- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution (or ECFMG certified)
- Completion of an ACGME accredited Family Medicine residency (or currently in the final year of residency)

- U.S. Citizenship
- Must be under the age of 57
- (As per Title 10 U.S. Code sections 531 and 532)
