Post Production Supervisor
Skill Corp
Overview Placement Type: N/A Salary: $1-466.67 Daily + Benefits and 401k Start Date: Jun 29, 2026 As the Post Production Supervisor for our client, you will be the day‑to‑day operational lead for all long‑format post production workstreams within the Post Production team. Reporting to the Executive Producer of Post Production, you will own the end‑to‑end post process for episodic content across three distinct programming formats: live‑streaming, influencer‑driven productions requiring professional cutdowns, versioning, and platform‑specific adaptations; and docu‑style unscripted format shows produced for broadcast and streaming distribution. You will be a project lead managing teams and shared resources for all episodic post — assigning day‑to‑day tasks, setting priorities, sequencing work, and coordinating the efforts of editors, colorists, audio engineers, and finishing artists working across these projects. The ideal candidate is a technically deep, operationally sharp post production professional who has supervised the full post pipeline on longer‑format content — 30‑minute to one‑hour episodes — and understands the distinct demands of both broadcast delivery and live or near‑live platform workflows. You know how to manage edit, color, audio, and finishing simultaneously across multiple episodes in various stages of production, and you bring the workflow discipline and communication skills to keep a team of specialists moving together without needing to manage them by title. You are a natural workstream leader: organized, decisive, and trusted by the creatives and technicians around you. You are flexible, resourceful, thrive in ambiguity and keep calm in deadline‑driven dynamic environments. PLEASE NOTE: This role is 5 days onsite in Playa Vista, CA Additional note: This is an exempt, day rate position! Key Outcomes Workstream Leadership & Day‑to‑Day Supervision Own the end‑to‑end post production workstream for all episodic content - setting daily and weekly priorities across edit, color, audio, and finishing, assigning tasks to the appropriate team members, and maintaining a clear view of where every episode sits across all stages of post at all times. Serve as the primary operational point of contact for all episodic post disciplines - coordinating between editors, colorists, audio engineers, graphics artists, and finishing teams so that handoffs between departments are clean, timely, and clearly communicated. Build, maintain, and actively manage episode‑level post schedules - tracking cut milestones, approval checkpoints, lock dates, color and audio sessions, and delivery deadlines across multiple episodes in simultaneous production, anticipating conflicts early and resolving them before they affect downstream stages. Report regularly to the Executive Producer of Post Production on episode status, schedule risks, resource needs, and any creative or technical issues requiring escalation - providing a clear, accurate picture of the workstream at all times. Onboard and orient freelance and contract post team members to episodic workflows, technical standards, and platform delivery requirements - ensuring every contributor working on the shows understands the pipeline and the expectations before their first session. Episodic Post Pipeline & Technical Oversight Supervise the full post pipeline for 30‑minute to one‑hour episodic content - from media ingest and editorial through color correction, sound mix, graphics, finishing, quality control, and final delivery - maintaining technical and creative standards across every stage for both unscripted docu‑style shows and live‑streaming derived productions. Develop and own the technical workflow and specification documentation for episodic post - including edit project templates, color pipeline settings, audio prep and mix standards, finishing specs, QC checklists, and platform delivery requirements for broadcast and streaming - ensuring every team member works from a clear, consistent technical framework. Oversee QC and technical compliance review for all episodic deliverables - ensuring every episode meets broadcast and platform specifications for codec, resolution, frame rate, loudness, closed captions, aspect ratio, and any network or platform‑specific compliance requirements before it leaves the building. Manage the live‑streaming and influencer content adaptation pipeline - establishing efficient workflows for ingesting livestream source material, producing editorial cutdowns, creating versioned adaptations for different platforms and formats, and delivering final assets to spec for each distribution channel. Manage all media, storage, and archive infrastructure for episodic productions - including ingest protocols, proxy workflows, shared storage organization, project naming conventions, and end‑of‑production archiving - maintaining a clean, organized media environment across all active shows. Editorial, Sound & Finishing Coordination Coordinate the editorial process across all episodes - from assembly and rough cut through producer cuts, director cuts, network or executive review, and picture lock - maintaining a clear revision history and ensuring all stakeholder notes are addressed accurately and tracked across every cut. Manage audio post workflows for episodic content - including dialogue edit and cleanup, music supervision coordination, SFX and ambient layering, mix prep, and final mix - ensuring all audio deliverables meet broadcast loudness standards [ATSC A/85, EBU R128] and platform‑specific technical requirements. Coordinate color correction and grading sessions - preparing conform materials, managing session scheduling with colorists, overseeing review and approval of color, and ensuring color‑managed deliverables are exported correctly for each destination format. Oversee graphics and title card production for episodic content - coordinating lower thirds, show opens and closes, bumpers, supers, and any other episodic graphics elements with the motion design team, and ensuring all graphics are delivered on time, on brand, and to the correct technical specification. Manage closed captioning, subtitling, and accessibility compliance workflows - coordinating with captioning vendors or internal resources, reviewing for accuracy, and ensuring all episodic deliverables meet platform accessibility requirements. Stakeholder Communication & Creative Partnership Serve as the primary post production interface for show directors, executive producers, and network or platform partners - communicating clearly on schedule, status, and technical requirements, and managing expectations across all stakeholder groups throughout the post process. Collaborate with Production and the EP of Post Production on resource planning - flagging capacity gaps, recommending additional freelance or vendor support, and ensuring the team has what it needs to deliver on time without burnout or quality compromise. Maintain a proactive communication cadence with the broader post production department - participating in cross‑departmental planning, flagging episodic resource or scheduling needs that may intersect with commercial post workstreams, and contributing to a collaborative, high‑functioning studio culture. Qualifications 5‑8 years of experience supervising or managing post production on long‑format content - episodic television, docu‑series, unscripted programming, or branded content series - at a broadcast network, streaming platform, production company, or in‑house studio. Deep working knowledge of the full episodic post pipeline - editorial, color correction, audio post, motion graphics, finishing, QC, and delivery - for 30‑minute to one‑hour episodes, with the technical fluency to understand every stage well enough to identify problems, resolve conflicts, and guide team members through them. Strong working knowledge of live‑streaming platform infrastructure and post workflows - including the technical characteristics of ingesting, logging, and editing livestream source material from platforms such as TikTok Live, YouTube Live, Twitch, and similar - and practical experience producing cutdowns and adaptations from live or near‑live source content at speed. Strong proficiency in Avid Media Composer and/or Adobe Premiere Pro in a long‑format episodic environment - including multicam editorial, shared storage workflows, project sharing, sequence organization, and conform and delivery preparation. Solid understanding of broadcast and streaming delivery technical specifications - including codec and container requirements, resolution and frame rate standards, loudness compliance [ATSC A/85, EBU R128], closed caption file formats, and network‑specific delivery requirements for linear broadcast and SVOD/AVOD platforms. Experience working with unscripted and docu‑style post production workflows - including large‑volume footage management, paper cut and string‑out processes, interview‑driven editorial, and the specific scheduling and revision dynamics of unscripted shows where content continues to evolve through late‑stage post. Demonstrated ability to lead a multi‑discipline post team by workstream - setting priorities, assigning tasks, sequencing work, and keeping specialists aligned and productive - without direct management authority over the individuals involved. Strong organizational and communication skills - capable of managing multiple episodes at different post stages simultaneously, maintaining clear documentation, and keeping all stakeholders accurately informed without creating noise or unnecessary escalations. Proficiency in production management and collaboration tools including Airtable, Microsoft Office [Excel, Word], Google Slides and PowerPoint, Slack, and Teams. Minimum 10 years in post production roles across long‑format content, with both production company or network and in‑house brand or studio experience preferred. Preferred Qualifications Direct experience working with influencer and creator‑led productions - understanding the distinct pace, tone, and content structure of influencer‑driven formats and what separates an effective post strategy for this content from traditional broadcast production. Experience delivering to major linear broadcast networks [Disney, Peacock, Paramount, Netflix, or similar] or major streaming platforms, including familiarity with their specific technical delivery portals, IMF package requirements, and QC standards. Working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve for color, finishing, or Fusion‑based VFX work in an episodic context. Experience with music licensing workflows for long‑format content - including music supervision coordination, sync licensing basics, cue sheet preparation, and the implications of music choices on distribution rights. Familiarity with AI‑assisted post tools applied to long‑format workflows - including automated transcription and logging, AI‑driven rough cut generation from interview selects, dialogue‑based search, and noise reduction - with a practical sense of where these tools create meaningful time savings on episodic post schedules. Reporting & Expectations Reports to Executive Producer, Post Production No direct reports; workstream lead for Editors, Colorists, Audio Engineers, Graphics Artists, and Finishing Artists assigned to episodic productions [internal and 3P] Collaborates with Show Directors, Executive Producers, Production, and platform or network partners In office 5 days per week #J-18808-Ljbffr
