Service Writer Full Time Baltimore, MD, US Salary Range: $25.00 To $30.00 Annually Service Writer Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel, Inc is a multi-location, full-service trailer dealership with an immediate opening at its Baltimore, MD branch. Initiate and control the service order process, secure customer’s signature, and close when completed. Serve as a liaison between mechanics and customers. Comply with all Company policies, DOT, OSHA and other governmental standards and regulations. Handle payments of invoices (cash, credit charges, checks) per company policy Check in equipment for service work and sign out completed work to customers Other duties as assigned Requirements 3 years of experience as a heavy-duty truck and trailer mechanic preferred. Some previous experience with Heavy Haul, Walking Floor, Dumps, and other types of trailers preferred. Must have strong organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and complete assignments within expected time frames. Some previous experience with fabrication, suspensions, air brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, body repairs and welding. Liftgate and refrigeration units, experience a plus. Must present a professional, highly motivated, positive, results oriented, problem-solving attitude. Must have good communication & strong computer skills. Must be able to work independently in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Must adhere to all Company policies including safety policies. Must pass a standard pre-employment drug test and physical.
