What You'll Do
- Monitor patients' vital signs and level of consciousness during recovery from anesthesia
- Manage airway patency and respiratory function, intervening as needed
- Administer medications for pain, nausea, and hydration to promote patient comfort
- Assess surgical sites, dressings, and overall patient status to detect complications
- Recognize adverse reactions to anesthesia or surgery and initiate emergency protocols
- Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare team members
What You Need
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- Previous PACU or perioperative nursing experience preferred
- Strong assessment and patient monitoring skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
