Generations is a non-profit, regional Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that has proudly served eastern Connecticut since 1984. We provide comprehensive primary care, behavioral health, oral health, and case management services, primarily to medically underserved populations. Our nurses are respected clinical partners who practice at the top of their license in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at our Putnam location.

Location: Putnam, CT

Position Overview: As a Behavioral Health RN, you will assess and identify patient needs to ensure that safety and high-quality care is provided through nursing interventions, supervision of staff, education, patient advocacy and coordination of services. To develop and maintain respectful and cooperative working relationships with other professionals, to contribute to the integrated, seamless delivery of services to individuals and families in the communities we serve. Works in collaboration with an interdisciplinary clinical team to provide specialized behavioral health support to individuals who are experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges

Registered Nurse Role:

• Assess and identify patient needs to ensure that safety and high-quality care is provided through nursing interventions, supervision of staff, education, patient advocacy and coordination of services.

• Develop and maintain respectful and cooperative working relationships with other professionals, to contribute to the integrated, seamless delivery of services to individuals and families in the communities we serve.

• Works in collaboration with an interdisciplinary clinical team to provide specialized behavioral health support to individuals who are experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $35.00+ per hour (commensurate with experience)

• Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts

• Occasional evenings and one Saturday per month may be required based on operational needs

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Required:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Connecticut

• Current CPR/BLS certification

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

• Experience in ambulatory or primary care settings

• Behavioral health experience

• Patient education or teaching experience
