Medical Assistant

Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a provider, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing and coding information for insurance purposes, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, and preparing patients for examination.

Job Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Minimum two (2) years related work experience preferred. Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Other: Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic computer knowledge required.

Preferred Education: Certified Nurse Assistant

• Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions.

• Spends 8 hours or more in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse, daily.
• Acuity to the five senses is required in contact with patients, family members, physicians and coworkers.
• Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 20 lbs.

Medical Assistant Work Environment: Medical type setting, clinic environment.
