TaxTrac | Remote | Seasonal Independent Contractor TaxTrac, operated by UWE, is expanding our tax preparation team for the upcoming tax season. We are looking for motivated tax professionals who are interested in preparing individual tax returns remotely while building and managing their own client base. This opportunity is designed for individuals who are self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and interested in growing their tax preparation experience and production. What We Provide Professional cloud-based tax preparation software Tax preparation training and educational resources Ongoing operational and technical support Remote working environment Access to professional tax preparation tools and resources Opportunity to grow your tax knowledge and client base Responsibilities Prepare accurate federal and state individual income tax returns Collect and review required taxpayer documentation Communicate professionally with tax preparation clients Maintain taxpayer confidentiality and data security Follow IRS due diligence and tax preparation requirements Complete required training Maintain an active PTIN before preparing federal tax returns for compensation Develop and manage your own tax preparation clients Qualifications Active PTIN or ability to obtain one before preparing tax returns Previous tax preparation experience preferred, but not required Strong attention to detail Professional communication skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment Comfortable using web-based software and technology Ability to follow tax preparation procedures and compliance requirements Self-motivated and comfortable developing a client base Compensation This is an independent contractor opportunity with production-based compensation. Earnings are based on completed tax return production and individual client volume. This position does not provide a guaranteed salary or hourly wage.
