Junior Recruiter

Zolon is seeking a motivated and organized Junior Recruiter to support staffing for current programs, active proposals, and future contract opportunities. Working closely with our Recruiting, Delivery, and Growth teams, this individual will source candidates, conduct initial screenings, coordinate interviews, and help build relationships with qualified professionals for both immediate and anticipated needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career recruiter to gain experience in federal contracting while working with an experienced and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source candidates for billable positions, active proposals, and upcoming contract opportunities.
• Identify qualified professionals through LinkedIn, job boards, candidate databases, referrals, and professional networks.
• Conduct professional outreach to prospective candidates and clearly communicate potential opportunities.
• Perform initial screenings to assess experience, technical qualifications, availability, compensation expectations, work location, and clearance status when applicable.
• Prepare concise candidate summaries for recruiters, hiring managers, and proposal teams.
• Coordinate interviews and maintain timely communication with candidates throughout the recruiting process.
• Under the guidance of the Growth team, connect with qualified incumbent personnel supporting contracts that are expected to be recompeted.
• Build and maintain a warm pipeline of screened candidates for upcoming proposals and anticipated contract awards.
• Assist with collecting resumes, certifications, letters of commitment, and other proposal-staffing information.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and provide regular updates on recruiting and pipeline activity.
• Support multiple staffing priorities and respond quickly when proposal or delivery timelines change.
• Help ensure every candidate has a professional and positive experience with Zolon.

Required Qualifications:

• Up to two years of experience in recruiting, sourcing, staffing, human resources, business support, or a related area; relevant internships may be considered.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence communicating with candidates by telephone, email, LinkedIn, and video conference.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight timelines.
• Comfortable learning new positions, technologies, customers, and staffing requirements.
• Ability to handle candidate and business information professionally and confidentially.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Collaborative, dependable, proactive, and willing to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using LinkedIn, job boards, or an applicant-tracking system.
• Exposure to technology recruiting, professional-services staffing, or federal government contracting.
• Familiarity with proposal recruiting, contingent hiring, security clearances, or government-contract labor categories is helpful but not required.
