The iconic Arizona Biltmore is located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix. The resort was named the "Jewel of the Desert" since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration. It has over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet in banquet space spread out over the beautiful property, 9 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 poolside bars, a gelato shop/caf, and in-room dining), a luxury spa, and 7 pools including a 65' waterslide. The McArthur's Bartender is responsible for making and serving beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner resulting in guest satisfaction; prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests; and maintain significant menu knowledge of both the beverage and food menus.

Essential Functions

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document orders for drinks.
• Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
• Check guests for proper identification.
• Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest and personnel guests including those served by other Servers to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
• Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed in order to balance all moneys.
• Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained.
• Maintain and demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
• Lock up and store all beverage, food and other items, deposit cash drops and secure bank.

This is a full-time position, and you must have flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Education

• High school graduate or equivalent, preferred

Experience

• At least two (2) years of Bartending experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant
• Experience in an upscale / luxury dining environment, preferred
• Hotel / resort experience, preferred
• Experience with POS systems such as Micros or Agilysis

Licenses or Certificates

• Maricopa County Food Handler Card
• TIPS Certified
• Title IV Certification, preferred
• ServSafe Certified, preferred
• CPR / First Aid Certified, preferred
