Job Overview Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. The role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and supports plasma center operations by determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable results. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including managing informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, and acceptance requirements. Perform physical examinations, blood testing, and review serological protein electrophoresis (SPE) results. Evaluate donor reactions and follow standard operating procedures for medical emergencies. Develop and support the Center Physician’s standing orders and coordinate donor transport to emergency care facilities. Consult with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs on unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues. Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine if further evaluation by occupational health or ER is required. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) and support investigations of pandemic threats. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate‑equivalent recognized educational nursing program with state requirements. Valid state license or certification in the state of assignment (EMT‑Paramedic). Current CPR and AED certification. Completion of state requirements for basic IV therapy. Completion of FDA‑approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting. Compensation and Benefits Location: USA – WA – Lacey. Hourly wage range: $28.16 – $38.72. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and location.
