Float Phlebotomist

About the Role Float Phlebotomist at PAML Labcorp (a Labcorp company) located in Olympia, WA. The role involves performing blood collections, documenting results, maintaining specimen logs, and delivering exceptional customer service across multiple sites. Work Schedule Monday–Friday, hours vary between 7:00am and 7:00pm with occasional overtime, Saturday shifts, and travel to additional sites as needed. Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other clinical studies. Enter patient information and specimen data accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when required. Minimum Qualifications Valid Washington‑issued Phlebotomy License. At least 21 years of age. Reliable transportation and clean driving record. Valid Driver’s License. Exceptional customer service skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Preferred Qualifications 1 or more year(s) of phlebotomy experience. 6 or more months of current or prior Labcorp experience in phlebotomy. Additional Job Standards In lieu of a state license requirement, submission of a phlebotomy license application to the WA Department of Health at time of hire may satisfy the requirement. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test. Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $22.30–$27.69 per hour. Float incentive: Additional $2.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Quarterly incentive bonus program may be applicable to eligible personnel. Employees regularly scheduled for 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), PTO or flexible time off, tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan.
