Produce Manager

As a Produce Manager , you'll oversee the daily operations of our produce department, ensuring quality, freshness, and customer satisfaction. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team, manage inventory, and contribute to the overall success of the store. Responsibilities Lead daily operations : Oversee produce department workflows; manage inventory, pricing, and product placement. Support & develop staff : Coordinate training, manage schedules, and provide leadership to team members. Ensure quality standards : Monitor product freshness, remove spoilage, and maintain cleanliness. Track performance : Review sales and labor metrics; implement strategies to meet department goals. Enhance merchandising : Create attractive produce displays and execute product placement strategies. Take initiative : Step into staff roles as needed, including opening, closing, and covering shifts. What You Bring Experience & Skills: Prior experience in retail produce and strong customer service techniques. Supervisory experience is a plus. Verbal proficiency in English. Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, squat, bend, and lift/carry boxes up to 70 pounds. Comfortable working in varying temperatures, including produce coolers and wet racks. Schedule Requirements Flexible availability across various shifts and locations including weekends and evenings Compensation & Benefits Hourly Pay : $24.00 hourly up to $75,000.00 annually Benefits : Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, & in-store discounts Why Join Mother’s Market?
