Patient Access Specialist

Description: This position supports patient registration activities within the Emergency Department. The role is fast-paced, highly visible, and requires the ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Team members interact with patients, families, clinical staff, EMS personnel, security, and hospital leadership throughout the day. Responsibilities: Register and check in patients arriving through the Emergency Department entrance. Collect and verify patient identification and insurance information. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors. Occasionally leave the registration desk to assist patients or visitors as needed. Document visitor information and communicate patient visitor status appropriately. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Avon, IN 46123. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
