Senior Manager-Indirect Sourcing

Overview Defines, implements, andowns the organization's overall sourcing strategy (for indirect supply chain) and develops a procurement plan, the definition ofrequirements, the selection of suppliers, the development of offers, lead negotiator, the development/execution ofcontracts, and the management of contracts. Leads operations that buildvalue-driven vendor partnerships focusing on risk management, reliability, andcost-effectiveness for the Indirect Supply Chain across the company. Thisincludes near term horizon (within the year) and out-going years. Responsible for the budget, orderfulfillment, and/or inventory of area of responsbility. Responsible for a several hundred million dollarannual spend. Responsibilities Manage the delivery of product (or services) as part of the organization's sourcing/procurement strategy.Develop and gain agreement to annual business plans for a function or substantial business area, ensuring alignment with strategy; quantify business outcomes (i.e. revenues or other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)); detail expense and headcount budgets; and develop business cases for key projects, ensuring cross-functional integration.Take responsibility for setting and managing area budgets so they align with organizational strategyCommunicate the function's strategy and its relationship to the organization's mission, vision and values; clarify the actions needed to implement it within the area of responsibility; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals. Identify and manage stakeholders up to top management level, finding out their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these by leading and coordinating the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decisions.Support the overall organizational strategy by developing and delivering operational plans and outcomes for a large portion of the business.Manage the delivery of a major part of the organization's supplier management program. Take personal responsibility for a small number of mission-critical strategic supplier relationships for the indirect supply chain.Manage and report on the performance of the function / business area; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.Manage the development/training for direct reportsImplement Risk Management throughout indirect supply chainLead the development of partnering relationships with senior executives throughout the organization, building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust, and ensuring that internal clients have access to high-quality advice and guidance to support in delivering business strategy and plansDefine the detailed organization structure for a business area to align with corporate principles, define the relationship between elements of the organization, and define the responsibilities of senior managers, to enable the organization to achieve its business objectives.Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs of a significant business area. Evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize development activities. Motivate others to develop their capabilities and fulfill their personal potential. Master's Degree preferred10+ years' experience that enables job holder to provide leadership to others regarding work related systems, processes and challenges.5+ years direct leadership experienceExperience in negotiation.
