ITS Inspector

Essential Functions Monitor and verify the correct installation of components like traffic signals, signs, and fiber optics Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) standards and specifications Review and approve as‑built documentation from contractors, including technical data and changes to plans Perform or oversee the testing of ITS equipment, such as controller operation and fiber optic cable testing Maintain detailed records of inspections, progress, and any issues that arise Work with FDOT project managers, contractors, and other consultants to resolve issues and ensure project success Required Skills and Experience High school graduate or equivalent 2 years Construction Engineering and Inspection experience Proficiency in areas like fiber optics, controller operation and testing, and other ITS components CTQP Concrete Field Inspector LevelI Preferred Skills and Experience Previous roadway inspection experience Other Duties This job description indicates the general nature and levels of work, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other essential functions (as covered under ADA).
