Software Engineering Lead - Mortgage Platforms

Salary: $127,340 - 127,340 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree, or 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
• We need 8 years of software development experience with strong technical depth in enterprise platform engineering and systems integration, including 2 years of technical leadership across multiple Agile teams.
• We need 6 years of experience delivering technology solutions across all phases of the software and application development lifecycle.
• We require expert-level experience with either the Blend Point of Sale Platform or the Dark Matter Empower LOS Platform, including installation, digital integration, vendor and batch management, customization, maintenance support, and end-to-end testing and QA.
• We need strong hands-on experience across the full stack, including responsive web UI applications, APIs and backend services, and event-driven and data integration platforms.
• We need experience influencing technology integration, solution design, and modernization across multiple Agile Scrum teams.
• We need experience designing, developing, and maintaining complex software solutions with multiple stakeholders.
• We require experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications while addressing security, compliance, scalability, observability, and operational support needs, with familiarity in AI patterns such as RAG, knowledge retrieval, vector search, AI agents, and model orchestration frameworks.
• We prefer expertise in Golang, Java, Python, C++, or similar technologies, along with proficiency across multiple technologies and database platforms.
• We prefer strong knowledge of cloud-based development tools and processes, ideally on AWS.
• We prefer solid hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services.
• We prefer a deep understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• We prefer proven experience building real-time streaming applications with Apache Kafka.
• We prefer strong SQL experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar, plus NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
• We prefer strong application of TDD and BDD methodologies.
• We prefer a solid understanding of software design patterns and system architecture.
• We prefer experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
• We prefer proven experience designing critical applications that integrate with multiple internal and external systems.
• We prefer deep knowledge of software development processes in a distributed team environment.
• Advanced cloud or product certifications are preferred.
• We prefer experience developing applications with security, scalability, and performance in mind.
• We prefer experience with Control-M, batch processes, data pipelines, data integration, and Snowflake.
• We prefer experience with data integration and automated data processing.

• We design, develop, code, and test complex tactical and strategic cross-functional technical solutions, often working with engineers or architects outside our team or department.
• We lead in-depth code and design reviews and communicate updates and business impacts to stakeholders to support smooth operations and accurate planning across multiple teams.
• We organize work and guide multiple teams to deliver features and solutions.
• We independently resolve complex production issues and lead troubleshooting for end-to-end solutions spanning multiple applications and systems.
• We mentor and coach junior and experienced engineers, including reinforcing design principles for our teams and others.
• We work with architecture to help define direction for cross-functional and highly complex emerging technologies within a specific domain.
• We may advance our professional development through industry organizations, programming publications, educational opportunities, networking, and professional societies.
• We apply Site Reliability Engineering practices within our domain.
• We ensure business risks are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in line with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
