Under the direction of the Director of Facilities, this hands-on role performs HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and general building repairs, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and grounds work.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems.Perform preventative maintenance and replace HVAC components as needed.Complete basic electrical repairs, including light fixtures and receptacles.Assist with plumbing, carpentry, painting, grounds, and general facility repairs.Operate hand and power tools and HVAC diagnostic equipment.Maintain maintenance supplies and replacement-parts inventory.Follow safety standards, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.Assist with emergency response and crowd management as needed.Provide professional service to staff, contractors, and visitors.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.HVAC vocational training or apprenticeship.2+ years of HVAC/facilities maintenance experience preferredValid Drivers license preferredStrong HVAC knowledge and mechanical/troubleshooting skills.Ability to use hand and power tools and read technical manuals.Strong communication and customer-service skills.Electrical/trades certifications or licenses are a plus.Must be 18 years of age or older.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights.Ability to stand, kneel, crawl, and perform physical maintenance work.Ability to work in extreme hot and cold conditions.
