Licensed Veterinary Technician, Surgery | $25+ | $1,000 Sign-On Bonus - LVT

Location: Mission, Kansas

Schedule: Full-Time | Four 10-hour shifts

Compensation: $25+/hr based on experience + $1,000 sign-on bonus + $2,500 relocation bonus for qualified applicants

Mission Veterinary in Mission, KS is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work alongside board-certified specialists, gain exposure to a diverse caseload, and utilize advanced equipment and techniques in a 24-hour specialty and emergency hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care as a Licensed Veterinary Technician within the Surgery team.

• Utilize your veterinary technician skills to support advanced patient care and treatment services.

• Work collaboratively with veterinarians, board-certified specialists, and other Veterinary Technicians.

• Utilize state-of-the-art imaging, monitoring tools, and advanced techniques as part of the Surgery team.

• Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and team members regarding patient care.

• Maintain a calm, professional, and compassionate approach when working with patients and families during stressful or emotional situations.

• Participate in ongoing learning and development opportunities to expand your clinical knowledge and technical skills.

• After gaining appropriate knowledge and experience, train, coach, mentor, and teach newer Veterinary Technicians and team members.

• Contribute to a supportive team environment focused on quality medicine, patient care, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential required.

• Experience working as a Veterinary Technician in a veterinary hospital setting.

• Strong foundation in patient care and veterinary medicine.

• Excellent client service and communication skills.

• Ability to remain composed and professional during stressful or emotional situations.

• Comfortable working collaboratively with veterinarians and other Veterinary Technicians.

• Willingness to learn new and advanced techniques and continue developing clinical skills.

• Ability to provide and receive mentorship, guidance, and feedback in a team environment.

• Fluent English speaking and reading skills required.
