Schedule: 3x12 night shifts; minimum every-other-weekend coverage required

Contract Requirements: All contracts must extend through January 2, 2027

Highlights:

• Float to a variety of critical care units based on staffing needs and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, MICU, and NCCU
• Work with a diverse patient population including transplant patients (kidney, liver, lung, heart) and complex critical care cases
• Epic charting system utilized across all units
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
• Float policy ensures assignment to units of equivalent or lower acuity based on clinical competency
• Parking permits available with monthly and annual options

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR system required
• Demonstrated competency in IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required

Essential Skills:

• Advanced critical care competencies including arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and blood product administration
• Proficiency in titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips, managing dysrhythmias, and emergency medication administration
• Knowledge of ICP monitoring, external ventricular drains, pulmonary artery catheters, and procedural sedation
• Competency in care of post-cardiac surgery patients, CVA/stroke management, and multisystem organ dysfunction

• Current employees are not eligible for travel positions at this location
