In addition this role will also identify opportunities to reduce Total Cost of Ownership as well as provide recommendations for process improvement and performance tracking metrics.Essential functions:Resolve non-conforming raw material issuesAssist with corrugate and carton packaging category managementAssist with bulk gas category managementIdentify opportunities to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)Analyze market conditions to effectively manage raw material costs and projectsManage RFP/RFQ process from creation to completion and provide supplier selection recommendationsDevelop and present category reports for managementProvide recommendations for process improvements and performance tracking metricsManage the raw material qualification process with Engineering / QAManage procurement's process in master data setup within Product Lifecycle Management systemMaximize supplier relationships with each production facility through conference calls and in-person meetingsWork cross-functionally within Niagara (with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, QA, and Engineering) to accomplish departmental goals and gain support internallyWhen needed, help drive or drive vendor discussions to achieve best results for Niagara including but not limited to: New relationship formationExisting relationship managementNegotiationThis position requires travel up to 10%Please note this job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
