Perception Engineer- Build LiDAR SLAM That Works in the Real World | Senior Perception Engineer

Some of the most interesting robotics problems aren't happening in warehouses. Hybrid, New York City (relocation support available) $160k-$210k base + equity I'm working with a robotics company tackling large-scale localization, mapping and LiDAR perception challenges in complex outdoor environments, and they're looking for a Senior Perception Engineer to join a small, highly technical team. If you've built SLAM systems that need to work in the real world, not just in a demo, I'd be very keen to speak with you. You'll be working on challenges including: LiDAR SLAM in GPS-degraded environments Sensor fusion and state estimation Large-scale point cloud mapping and alignment Intrinsic and extrinsic sensor calibration Localization across diverse operating conditions Production-grade robotics software used by customers in the field every day We're particularly interested in engineers who have: Strong C++ and Python skills Deep SLAM and localization experience Experience deploying systems into production 5+ years in robotics perception, autonomy or mapping Backgrounds from autonomous vehicles, field robotics, mapping, localization and large-scale perception systems are especially relevant.
