Location: Rochester, NY
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule or Shift: Night 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00) and Day 3x12-hour (07:00 - 19:00) shifts. Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed.
Job Description: The LPN will provide compassionate care to medical surgical patients. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, managing medication administration, and collaborating with the RN on patient assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Take own patient assignments with RN support.
- Monitor vital signs, pain assessment, and intake/output.
- Administer medications via various routes and monitor for side effects.
- Perform wound care and Foley catheter insertion.
- Communicate changes in patient status to RN/MD.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Must have an active New York Single State LPN license.
- BLS certification required.
- Acute care experience within the last 2 years.
