General Psychiatry Residency Program Director - Psychiatrist Location: 22 Bramhall St, Portland Schedule: Full-Time, 1.0 FTE Req#: 79004 Overview: MaineHealth Behavioral Health (MHBH) seeks a full‑time, fellowship‑trained, board‑certified Psychiatrist to join the Department of Psychiatry at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland (MHMMCP). The role combines leadership and clinical practice. The selected candidate will serve as the General Psychiatry Residency Program Director (0.5 FTE) and provide psychiatric clinical care (0.5 FTE), supporting a diverse patient population across rural and urban communities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a psychiatrist interested in academic leadership, with potential for future involvement in additional academic and/or administrative roles. Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an allopathic or osteopathic medical school; completion of internship and psychiatric residency and/or fellowship training. Current or eligible licensure as a physician by the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine. Current certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. Current DEA Registration Certificate. Psychiatry specialty expertise and at least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience.
