Description: The position requires attending a general orientation along with departmental and site-specific orientation. A full case load is expected to be managed by the end of the first week. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. There is no weekend rotation for outpatient services. Inpatient rehab and acute care typically require one weekend per month coverage. No call duties are required for this position. Holidays are not expected to be worked. The department will have support from a supervisor and an assistant director. Team members will work closely together in the facility. The electronic medical record system used includes Meditech Expanse and Wellsky, depending on the setting. The patient population includes individuals with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, amputations, multiple trauma cases, hip fractures, bilateral knee replacements, post-cardiac surgery, post-COVID complications, and other medically complex/debilitating conditions. Outpatient services will focus on general orthopedic, sports medicine, pediatrics, and neuro-specific diagnoses, including surgical and non-surgical spinal patients.
