Quality Assurance SpecialistGray's Specialty Equipment segment offers a comprehensive range of expert services, including design, manufacturing, integration, installation, and maintenance of some of the most advanced systems in the food, industrial, pharmaceutical, and vacuum science markets. From components to fully integrated equipment, we provide purpose-built solutions that integrate seamlessly into larger facility design-build, expansion, and retrofit projects. The Specialty Equipment segment includes Anderson Dahlen, located in Ramsey, MN and Waconia, MN. Anderson Dahlen specializes in stainless steel and specialty alloy fabrication and is ISO 90001:2015 certified, as well as ASME, AWS, and PED compliant.The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; as well as other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $24 to $33 hourly/annually. Our team members overseas are offered private health insurance, life insurance, and an employee assistance program (EAP).Primary Objective Of The Position:Act as the primary quality contact who drives excellence across all functions as well as performing standard inspections, tests, and other tasks to determine whether manufactured products meet customer specifications and quality expectations.Major Areas Of Accountability:Develops, maintains, and portrays a high degree of professionalism and technical competence both within and outside the organization, encouraging excellence through example.Perform dimensional, receiving, in process and final inspections as required.Assist in the development of control/ inspection plans to ensure product compliance.Support Lean/continuous improvement principles and initiatives.Identify the root cause of technical issues and recommend fixes.Inspect product materials and electrical systems for defects and durability.Manage and update calibration tool lists and facilitate outside calibration activitiesFollow all company safety protocolsExecutes measurement programs on metrology equipmentPrepares necessary documentation and ensures paperwork compliance on all inspected items, including scanning and filing documents to appropriate locationsAccept or reject parts/product based on customer specifications and inspection resultsOther duties as assignedQualifications For Entry:Associates degree or equivalent combination of certificates and experienceAbility to lead and facilitate improvement teams in problem solving.Experience in inspection methods, to include set-ups, blueprint reading and GD&T.A good understanding of machining, welding, and metal fabricationExcellent organizational and prioritization skillsVery strong interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with Lean Mfg. and DMAIC problem solving skills.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret specifications, prints, and technical documents.Experience with 1D, 2D, and 3D metrology methods and devicesAdditional certification in Quality Assurance is a plusPhysical Requirements:Lift/Carry- 0-10 lbs.- Occasionally11-50 lbs.- Never51-100 lbs.- NeverPush/Pull- 0-25 lbs.- Occasionally26-75 lbs.- Never76-100 lbs.- NeverBend- 0-33% during an 8-hour shiftTwist/Turn- 0-33% during an 8-hour shiftKneel/Squat- Not at allSit- 67-100% during an 8-hour shift.Stand/Walk- 0-33% during an 8-hour shiftOverhead Reaching- 0-33% during an 8-hour shiftLadder/Stair- 0-33% during an 8-hour shiftEEO Disclaimer:Gray is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcomes everyone to apply.
