Leasing Specialist

Job Overview The Leasing Specialist is responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations within the community. The role requires professionalism, positive engagement, and community building. Key Responsibilities Visit and greet all prospects, qualify them, and record interactions on guest cards. Inspect models and “market‑ready” units and communicate service needs to the Community Manager. Demonstrate product knowledge and close sales, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing requirements. Process applications, update availability reports, and finalize leasing paperwork in the Yardi Voyager system. Assist with securing new resident signatures, orienting new residents, and monitoring renewals. Complete administrative tasks such as maintaining files and commission records. Respond to resident requests, facilitate maintenance service requests, and communicate with relevant teams. Support community events and maintain curb appeal. Enforce community policies and compliance with Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, and other regulations. Qualifications 2+ years of sales and/or customer relations experience. Experience in low‑income housing and tax‑credit programs is highly desired. Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desired. Thrives in a fast‑paced environment. Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Solid computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, email). Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software. Physical Demands & Working Conditions Essential staff classification; must adhere to safety and business protocols. Frequent sitting and walking; may require walking on uneven ground. Repetitive use of computer, keyboard, mouse, and phone. Reading, writing, and verbal communication required. Occasional squatting, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
