Senior Accountant

Our client is a fortune 500 company with offices near Knoxville, TN. They are seeking to hire a Senior Accountant. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a company in a step up position as the Senior Accountant will be supervising staff (direct reports) and given an Accounting Manager role within 2 months. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of public or corporate accounting experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. The company offers exceptional benefits, year end and stock bonus, total work life balance, and a fun/dynamic culture. They have extremely low turnover and a fast promotion track. Duties: Lead month end close Prepare financial statements Analyze financial variances against budget and forecast. Prepare and present financial forecasts monthly Conduct strategic analysis for leadership Participate in annual budgeting and financial planning processes. Train staff on internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial statement interpretation.
