Employee Type FT Exempt Required Degree 4 Year Degree Manage Others No Description PURPOSE Overall administration and maintenance of our in-house and cloud - based databases to ensure that all applications that depend on these databases are functioning correctly. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Provide support to the development and technical staff Monitor database performance and resolve any issues with performance Monitor and Maintain Database maintenance plans for backups, index rebuilds/ defragmentation and statistics Install, upgrade and maintain all database software Maintain documentation where applicable Assist with business continuity and disaster recovery testing Qualificat ions and Education Requirements Bachelor ’ s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems field of study from an accredited college or university, or 4 years equivalent work experience in a database administrator role Preferred Skills 2+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and newer
