Location: Fremont, CA Department: Detail Employment Type: Full-Time and/or Part-Time Compensation: $20.00–$23.00 per hour (non-exempt, hourly; based on experience and qualifications) Company: Optima Dealer Services, Inc. Position Overview The Detailer is responsible for cleaning, polishing, and restoring both the interior and exterior of vehicles according to company standards and client requests. This role uses a variety of cleaning tools and products — including buffers, vacuums, hoses, and steamers — to ensure every vehicle meets the highest appearance and quality expectations. Why Join Us? Ensure all windows and sunroofs are closed and automatic wipers are disabled before washing vehicles. Verify that vehicles are suitable for machine washing prior to sending them through the wash. Double-check every vehicle after cleaning to ensure quality and move or park vehicles in the designated area. Notify Management if additional supplies, materials, or tools are needed. Handle cleaning products, towels, and equipment properly and safely. Follow all Management directions and safety procedures at all times. Perform clay, polish, and wax services using appropriate tools and products, including buffers, compounds, and sealants. Maintain awareness of different surfaces and finishes to avoid damage and ensure proper care. Requirements Valid, unrestricted California driver’s license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with company insurance requirements. Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles. Ability to safely maneuver vehicles in tight or confined spaces. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
