Civil litigation firm headquartered in California looking for a senior associate attorney for its Florida Construction Defect Group.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Defect Attorney to join our team in Tampa, Florida. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience handling construction defect actions and be comfortable managing cases independently.
Responsibilities
- Handle construction defect cases from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Appear at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Work with experts, insurance carriers, clients, and opposing counsel.
- Evaluate liability, damages, and case exposure.
- Develop litigation and settlement strategies.
- Manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys and legal staff.
Qualifications
- Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
- 5+ years construction defect litigation experience.
- Strong knowledge of Florida construction law and civil litigation.
- Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and courtroom skills.
- Ability to independently manage a caseload.
- Trial experience preferred.
- Insurance defense experience strongly preferred.
