Pediatrician

LocationOak Park, IL**Position Summary**: Provide comprehensive pediatric primary care to infants/children/teens ages 0 to 21 years of age.**Reports to**: Medical Director**Primary Responsibilities & Duties**1. Provide appropriate patient care services including examination, diagnosis, and treatment for pediatric patients according to established standards and protocols.2. Provide well-child routine physicals and developmental assessments.3. Prescribe and administer medications.4. Diagnose and treat ADHD.5. Develop, implement, evaluate, and document a plan of care and treatment.6. Initiate early intervention for developmental delay and disabilities.7. Appropriately make referrals to other medical/nursing/specialty services as needed.8. Perform health maintenance/disease prevention counseling.9. Provide chronic disease management.10. Provide timely childhood immunizations.11. Provide advice to parents on child development, nutrition, safety, and discipline.12. Review all lab test reports/referral reports and notify parents/patients on abnormal findings.13. Supervise and direct patient care performed by medical assistants.14. Assist Medical Director in the development and implementation of pediatric protocols and procedures.15. Keep well-informed of new developments in a specific area of practice by attending in-services, CME classes, and other certifications.16. Work collaboratively with clinic social worker to provide behavioral health and case management services to patients as needed.17. Adhere to clinic guidelines and standing orders.18. Participate in mentoring nurse practitioner and medical students.19. Maintain the spirit of teamwork to provide a caring respectful environment for the patients, families, and clinic staff.20.
