Position: Full-Time Maintenance Technician

Primary Responsibilities:
Repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.

I. General Maintenance Duties:
(a) Be able to perform minor plumbing repairs such as leaking faucets and pipes.
(b) Replace bulbs and ballasts for lighting fixtures.
(c) Floor repairs.
(d) Cut and replace floor mats.
(e) Replace filters in air handlers and compressor.
(f) Must be able to start up and shut down Air compressors and dryers (Similar Machineries).
(g) Takes empty propane tanks to have them filled (IF NEEDED).
(h) Must have knowledge of the location of all electrical panels in order to shut off or turn on lights and equipment as needed.

(i) Repair equipment such as conveyors, conveyor stands, tables, racking, walls, doors and support columns when needed.

(j) Move equipment and racks as needed.

(k) Install and remove racking and shelving as needed.

(l) Repair manual pallet jacks as needed.

(m) Observe, identify and repair building and grounds related issues in order to maintain safe working conditions and preserve the value of the property.

(n) Report to management any project that can't be handled internally.

(o) Assist in the development of a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, annual maintenance schedule.

II. Safety and Security:

(a) Perform monthly fire extinguisher inspections and submit report to HR Department.

(b) Perform quarterly inspections on emergency lighting.

(c) Open building and alarms as needed.

(d) Close building and set alarms as needed. Secure all doors and back gate.

(e) Respond to alarm calls, security and fire, when contacted.

(f) Maintain safety signs and labeling as required. Includes aisles inside and designated parking areas out of the building.

(g) Assist with forklift training.

III. Housekeeping:

(a) Maintain clean work areas and clean up the work area after completing a job.
(b) Dispose of items to be recycled such as documents, machinery, metal, plastic, and corrugated materials.
(c) Maintain fences, signs, drains, and railings outside of building.
(d) Any other duties assigned by Supervisor.

IV: Job Requirements:

1. Must be able to drive a forklift (change batteries and propane tanks, a scissor lift, perform minor plumbing repairs and some office repairs.
2. Must have set of basic tools.
3. 3-5 years of similar experience in warehouse maintenance

Safety vest, Safety glasses, Steel and/or Alloy Toe Shoes is a mandatory (Company Reimbursable)

Hard Hat and Gloves required wherever necessary.
