Account Manager

We are helping our client, a fast-growing hardware distribution business with ambitious growth plans, hire an Account Manager. Job Description The Account Manager is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of customer accounts and supporting the full sales cycle, including sourcing and quoting, backlog management, order status updates, customer communication, problem resolution, and delivery coordination. Working independently on day-to-day activities, the Account Manager partners closely with the Senior Account Manager when additional guidance or support is needed for complex or high-risk situations. This role is focused on delivering a high level of customer satisfaction while supporting account growth and new business development opportunities. The Account Manager works collaboratively with customers and internal teams to identify opportunities, resolve issues, and support profitable business growth. Familiarity with aerospace fasteners, certifications, and quality standards is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook. A continuous improvement mindset and strong aptitude for learning are essential for success in the role. Roles and Responsibilities Manage the customer sales cycle for an assigned book of accounts, including sourcing and quoting, backlog maintenance, order status updates, customer correspondence, problem resolution, and delivery coordination, with guidance from the Senior Account Manager as needed. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with professionalism and integrity. Support new business development efforts within assigned accounts and business segments. Work as a team with the customer and internal departments to support opportunities and profitable growth. Communicate issues or setbacks to customers in a timely manner and elevate to the Senior Account Manager when solutions require additional support or authority. Work independently on day-to-day tasks while prioritizing multiple projects effectively; seek guidance from the Senior Account Manager on complex or high-risk situations. Participate in training and development to build Aerospace industry and product knowledge.
