Amazon's Global Specialty Recruiting (GSR) organization is looking for a Senior Program Manager to own HR business operations for Principal Engineering (PE) Recruiting. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of recruiting functions and day-to-day operations, driving long-term strategic planning, operating rhythm, business reviews, and goal alignment to prioritize resources across the team. You will implement processes and strategies with clear communication, align business objectives with key performance indicators, and manage change to keep the organization running smoothly — all while working closely with HR leadership, finance, and talent acquisition partners.You will drive the business cadence, including business reviews, report-outs, and long-term strategic planning, and communicate priorities to the global team. You will help GSR and PE Recruiting become more operational by implementing continuous improvement best practices, using data analysis, insight generation, and generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools to move quickly and tell clear stories. You will manage multiple complex programs, influence cross-functional partner teams, and design solutions that make the organization more efficient. If you are a collaborative, analytical self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and can influence without authority, this role offers meaningful impact and regular visibility with senior leaders at Amazon.Key job responsibilities- Improve and simplify standardized mechanisms for PE Recruiting business operations and internal communications, including organizational emails, newsletters, and leadership presentations.- Lead the annual process for resource and strategic planning, and support the development and reporting of departmental goals and initiatives.- Design and implement change management strategies with clear communication plans, guiding stakeholders through organizational transitions and process improvements.- Build and maintain a metrics framework to measure the impact of business operations deliverables, communications, and strategy programs.- Develop strategic messaging and produce communication content for internal channels, translating data into actionable insights and narratives using Microsoft Office and GenAI tools.A day in the lifeYou might start your morning reviewing operational metrics and preparing a data-driven narrative for an upcoming business review with senior leaders. After that, you could spend time partnering with recruiting and finance stakeholders to align on quarterly goals, then shift to refining a change management communication plan for a team initiative. Between meetings, you will use GenAI tools to accelerate analysis and draft internal communications. Your work balances independent deep-dive analysis with collaborative sessions that keep the broader team aligned and moving forward.Basic qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Program Management, Human Resources, Employment Law, Computer Science, Finance, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Research or a related field- Experience in making data driven business decisions- Experience communicating complex concepts clearly and persuasively to different audiences- 5+ years of HR, talent acquisition, management consulting, or project/program management experiencePreferred qualification - Experience setting business operating rhythmsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
