M&A Associate — Corporate Transactions | 4–6 Years
\nNew York, NY | Hybrid | ~1,500 Billable Hours
\n \nA growing New York boutique law firm is seeking a mid-level M&A Associate with 4–6 years of corporate transactional experience at a U.S. law firm.
\n \nThis role is for an attorney who already knows how to execute transactions—not someone looking to transition into corporate work.
\n \nThe practice represents companies, founders and investors in M&A, financings, joint ventures, corporate governance and sophisticated commercial transactions , with significant work in emerging industries.

- Approximately 1,500 billable hours \n
- Hybrid — generally 3 days/week in the NYC office \n
- Base compensation approximately $180K–$225K , depending on experience \n
- Discretionary bonus and benefits \n

What You'll Do
\n- \n
- Draft and negotiate stock purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements and other principal transaction documents \n
- Manage transactions from diligence and documentation through signing and closing \n
- Draft and negotiate operating agreements, shareholder agreements and commercial contracts \n
- Advise privately held companies, founders and investors on corporate governance and strategic matters \n
- Work directly with partners and clients while taking meaningful responsibility for deal execution \n
What We're Looking For
\n- \n
- 2–6 years of corporate transactional experience at a U.S. law firm \n
- Substantive M&A experience \n
- Hands-on experience drafting and negotiating principal transaction documents \n
- Ability to independently manage significant portions of a transaction \n
- Strong drafting, judgment and client-facing skills \n
- Genuine interest in working with clients in the cannabis industry \n
- New York admission \n
