Apex has an opportunity for a Sr. Data Analyst to join our fast-paced Banking Industry client partner!
Location: Remote (east coast, US)
Term: 3+ Months
Job Description:
- Creating functional and technical documentation for data provisioning pipelines (Source to target mappings, Data environment diagrams, etc..)
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
- Conducting ad-hoc analysis and deep dives into specific financial areas or projects.
- Collecting, organizing, and analyzing financial data from various sources.
- Required to have good knowledge of databases, data models, and data systems for financial analysis.
- Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security in financial databases and systems.
- Recommending process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance data analysis efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts, accounting principles, and financial markets, specially in Retail Banking
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel
- Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.
Additional Information:
- Professional certifications in finance domain or data domain would be added advantage.
- Continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and technologies are essential for success in this role.
Experience Needed:
- 5+ years of experience
- Must have experience creating functional and technical documentation for data provisioning pipelines (i.e. Source to target mappings, Data environment diagrams, etc..)
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and tools.
