Market Research Analyst – Dedicated Carrier (Transportation Industry)The Market Research Analyst will drive strategic growth by analyzing market trends, shipper verticals, and competitive dynamics within the dedicated freight and logistics sector. This role combines deep research capabilities with proactive lead generation to support the business development team in identifying and qualifying new customer opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct in-depth research on shipper verticals (e.g., retail, manufacturing, food & beverage) to identify demand patterns and service needsAnalyze competitor offerings and market positioning within the dedicated contract carriage spaceUse AI-powered tools and platforms to generate insights on shipper behavior, industry forecasts, and emerging opportunitiesMonitor regulatory and macroeconomic factors affecting logistics and transportationCollaborate with sales, operations, and strategy teams to align market intelligence with business development effortsLeverage research findings to identify and contact prospective customers, qualifying leads for the business development teamPresent findings through visualizations, presentations, and executive summaries tailored to leadership and cross-functional teamsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Economics, or related field helpful2–4 years of experience in market research, preferably in transportation or logisticsFamiliarity with AI research tools, data platforms, and market intelligence softwareStrong analytical and storytelling skills to translate complex data into strategic insightsExperience in lead generation or sales support is a plusKnowledge of TMS and CRM systems is beneficialWhy PTI?
