Scientist II - Analytical Chemist

Eurofins Discovery seeks an Analytical Chemist to develop and validate LC-MS methods for contract research services. The role combines hands-on analytical work with leadership responsibilities, supporting both internal teams and external clients in bioanalytical and DMPK applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize LC-MS methods for ADME, DMPK, and bioanalytical applications
• Mentor junior scientists and manage daily laboratory operations, equipment, and planning
• Troubleshoot and maintain mass spectrometers and HPLC instrumentation
• Support analytical method validation and expansion of service offerings
• Conduct data review, quality control oversight, and process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• 5+ years LC-MS experience in CRO or industry laboratory setting
• Demonstrated expertise in bioanalytical method development and validation per FDA/ICH/OECD guidelines
• Experience with drug metabolism, metabolite identification, or MS-based proteomics
• Proficiency in high-throughput analytical method development for small molecules
• Bachelor's degree with 7 years relevant experience (or Master's with 5 years, or Ph.D. with 3 years)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in Quality Management Systems
