VP, Data Trust & AI Readiness

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in a quantitative, scientific, or technical discipline such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, economics, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• We require 7+ years of relevant experience in data science, data management, data governance, data quality, or analytics engineering, with a history of setting standards and influencing cross-functional teams.
• We need strong expertise in metadata management and data catalog tools, particularly around discoverability, lineage, and interpretability.
• We require practical experience working with structured and unstructured data at scale, including profiling, cleansing, standardizing, and documenting large datasets on enterprise data platforms or data products.
• We need a solid understanding of data quality frameworks and the ability to diagnose, measure, and remediate quality issues.
• We require familiarity with ontology, semantic layers, and context layers, and how consistent definitions improve reuse across analytics and AI systems.
• We need strong SQL skills and analytical problem-solving ability, including root-cause analysis across large data volumes.
• We value a first-principles mindset that questions assumptions and checks whether data makes sense in context, not only in aggregate.
• We require awareness of how conversational analytics, natural-language querying, and agentic AI consume data and the conditions they depend on.
• We need excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
• We require proven collaboration experience across product, engineering, and business teams in a regulated environment.
• We need clear written and verbal communication skills, including preparing and presenting updates for senior stakeholders.
• We prefer experience in consumer banking or another large-scale, high-volume data environment.
• We prefer exposure to building or governing semantic models and metrics layers for enterprise analytics.
• We prefer familiarity with data domain modeling and standardization across multiple business units.
• We prefer scripting or full-stack skills such as Python to support profiling, enrichment, and rapid prototyping.
• We prefer applied exposure to AI/ML and GenAI concepts from the perspective of a consumer of well-governed data.

• We will shape and drive adoption of the enterprise data readiness framework across CCB business units.
• We will define and advocate for business, technical, and operational metadata standards so data is well-defined, discoverable, and trustworthy at scale.
• We will establish semantic and context standards that improve consistency, interpretability, and reuse across our analytics and AI systems.
• We will lead profiling efforts for priority domains to identify definitional, lineage, and data-quality gaps, and work with data owners to close them.
• We will turn one-off fixes into repeatable, scalable enrichment patterns and coach others to apply them.
• We will advise data leaders and engineers on the quality and usability improvements that create the most value across large datasets.
• We will build and present prototypes that demonstrate improved data readiness for analytics and AI-assisted use cases, including conversational and agentic experiences.
• We will own readiness scorecards and KPIs, translating progress into inputs for maturity assessments, roadmap planning, and executive updates.
