Job Summary
The Maintenance Assistant (Healthcare Facilities) is responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the cleanliness and safety of our healthcare facilities. This part-time role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, identifying and reporting potential safety hazards, and assisting other maintenance staff as needed.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work
Identify and report potential safety hazards and take corrective action as needed
Assist other maintenance staff with repairs and maintenance projects
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols
Communicate effectively with staff and management regarding maintenance needs and issues
Participate in on-call rotation, responding to after-hours maintenance calls as needed
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
1+ year of experience in maintenance or a related field (or equivalent training)
Basic understanding of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
