We are seeking an experienced District Manager to oversee multiple locations for a rapidly expanding bakery café franchise known for its handcrafted baked goods, specialty beverages, and neighborhood café experience. This is an exciting opportunity for a multi-unit leader who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment and has a passion for developing people, driving operational excellence, and supporting franchise growth.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will provide strategic leadership across multiple cafés, partnering with General Managers and franchise owners to maximize sales, profitability, team development, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead operations for multiple corporate and franchise bakery café locations
• Drive sales growth, profitability, and operational excellence across the district
• Coach, mentor, and develop General Managers and café leadership teams
• Support franchise owners by implementing operational standards, training programs, and performance management processes
• Ensure consistent execution of guest service, food quality, and brand standards
• Analyze financial performance, P&L, labor, inventory, and controllable costs to improve results
• Develop and execute district sales and marketing initiatives
• Partner with training teams to identify leadership development opportunities
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company operating procedures
• Conduct regular café visits, operational audits, and performance reviews
• Support new café openings, operational improvements, and strategic growth initiatives

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5–7+ years of progressive multi-unit leadership experience in restaurants, bakery cafés, QSR, hospitality, retail, or franchise operations
• Minimum 3–5 years managing multi-unit restaurant or retail teams
• Strong experience with P&L management, budgeting, labor planning, inventory, and sales performance
• Experience supporting both corporate and franchise operations is highly preferred
• Knowledge of POS systems (Toast preferred) and restaurant technology
• Strong coaching, leadership, and talent development skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• High emotional intelligence with a collaborative leadership style
• Willingness to travel frequently throughout the assigned market and support future café openings
