Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, including rapid assessment, monitoring, and timely intervention for a diverse patient population.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered, and monitor responses while managing potential adverse effects.
- Collaborate with physicians, licensed and unlicensed team members, and ancillary staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document all patient assessments, treatments, and care plans accurately in the electronic medical record and ensure timely, compliant reporting.
- Monitor vital signs, recognize early signs of deterioration, respond to emergencies, and participate in rapid response or code scenarios as needed.
- Support patients and families with education, discharge planning, and coordination of follow-up care.
